To-Go Kits
How It works…
The steps simplified:
Step 1: Pick your pottery
Step 2: Pick your glaze
Step 3: Pick-up your kit
Step 4: Create at home!
Step 5: Return your kit to the studio
Step 6: Pick up your finished ceramics!
lets break it down…
Step 1: Pick your pottery
We have an awesome online store that show what we currently have in stock at our studio. This is where you will add what pottery you want to include in your to-go kit. (More of in-person type? You can always swing by the studio during Open Studio Saturdays to pick out pottery straight from our shelves!)
Step 2: Pick your glaze
Every piece of pottery you add to your kit comes with 4 glazes; two 2 oz containers & two 1oz containers. This is enough glaze to cover almost all of our pottery options. If you are picking one of our large pieces or you have a design that uses more than four colors, we offer glaze add-on options for an additional fee of 50¢ -$1 per glaze. All kits come with a handful of brushes and an instructional booklet.
Step 3: Pick up your kit
After you purchase your to-go kit, it’s time to decide how you will pick-up your kit! You can stop in on Saturday’s anytime from 12-5 during our open studio hours or, if you are eager to get your kit as soon as possible, you can request we place your kit in one of our secure outdoor lockers, allowing you to stop by at your earliest convenience! Remember: Kits can take anywhere from 1-3 days to package and prepare so plan ahead!
Step 4: Create at home!
Now for the fun part! Enjoy your to-go kit anywhere you go as everything you need is included! All kits come with brushes and an OTB instruction booklet detailing all the tips, tricks & how-to’s along with resource videos on some glazing techniques. As you work, keep track of your supplies as we require the return of all supplies at the time of drop-off.
Step 5: Return kit to studio
Once you have finished your piece(s), it is time to return your work to the studio for firing! Be sure to follow the drop-off instructions that are detailed in the booklet. Once again, you get to choose on stopping by during open studio hours on Saturday’s from 12-5 or requesting an outdoor locker to place your work into at your own convenience.
Step 6: Final pick-up!
And now you wait! Pottery is usually processed within 1-2 weeks from the day you drop off at the studio. We will text you once your work has completed the firing process. To pick up your finished work, stop in on Saturdays or we can place it in our outdoor lockers for you to pick up. Boom! you have a completed ceramic artwork to enjoy for a lifetime!
