Have you ever wanted to learn how to make pottery from start to finish? From mud to magic; dive into the ceramic process during our Beginners Wheel Course!
+ the course flow
Our beginner wheel course is structured around a combination of instructed classes and open studio time. We will start our month long ceramic journey in the studio together with a night of demos and group practices learning the in’s and out’s of a clay studio, studio procedures, throwing, trimming and attachments. After you have “gotten your feet wet” (…or muddy!) in our first class, you will have unlimited studio practice time during your month to make-your-hearts-out before our last session where we learn all about finishing your work with glaze.
+ what you will make
The fact is, ceramics is a craft. It takes a lot of practice to get to the level of what we see on those trendy tik-tok videos or TV shows. What you make during this course will vary from person to person but bowls, cups, and vases are common first course shapes. They may be a bit ‘organic’ or ‘perfectly imperfect’ for your first class but, gosh darn it, you made a thing and that’s a success all on it’s own!
+ no experience needed
This course is structured for those who have little to no experience on the pottery wheel. Although structured for beginners, all levels are welcome.
